Guest Bath, Master Bath, and Kitchen Remodel in the Burbs

This project is similar to other projects in that we are remodeling a master and guest bathroom, as well as a full kitchen. This couple has a beautiful home and a lot of love has gone into making their house a home. We're updating the guest bathroom (first set of bathroom photos), the master bathroom (towards the bottom), and the kitchen. We're also replacing about 2500/sf of flooring. Stay tuned as the renovation takes place over the next three weeks.

The clients wanted their master bathroom expanded by removing their tub and opening up the entire shower area. To save money, they wanted to keep some of the existing flooring creating a design challenge to blend the new with the old. The way this was accomplished was to find a large format tile that offered both beige (the existing color) and the new primary color of grey.

The master shower is now much larger, with a luxurious and spacious master shower. The shower walls are a blend of beige and grey while the shower floor is a stone/pebble combination. The granite countertop has been installed. Normally we remove the mirror and paint before any of the other work is done however this client needed access to her vanity mirror for as long as possible. Extra care will go into the removal of the large piece of vanity glass. Subway tile will be installed in a light grey with white grout as the finishing touches take place on the master bathroom renovation. Here's what the client had to say about their remodel:
